Club Volunteers To Get Free Coaching Advice
Clubs all over Cornwall are being offered the opportunity to take part in an free advice and demonstration day for their coaches.
FA Coaches Alan Gillett and Dan Herring will be there to deliver sessions on how to coach for particular ages groups; team play; how to coach the transition from small-sided to the 11-a-s-ide game. There’ll be a focus on goalkeeping too from John Sheffield and a question and answer forum.
Phil Cardew, Cornwall FA’s Football Development Officer, said, “We’ve organised this event so that coaches and managers of all age groups will be able to gain from the day. It’s a great opportunity for them to work with some fantastic coaches who we know will make the day very rewarding and beneficial to all who attend.”
The event is open to FA Charter Standard clubs and is from 10.30am to 4pm on Saturday 11th September 2010 at Newquay Tretherras School. Please phone 01208 269010 to book or see cornwallfa.com
